My journey into the healing art of sound began after San Diego Beach Yoga on the weekends, in Ocean Beach. - The combination of the crystal bowls, the ocean waves, and the sounds of human life that swirled around Tower 5 soothed my mind in a way that I had never experienced. I would “wake up” feeling refreshed, renewed, a sense of rejuvenation where time disappeared and space had no shape or form…

What I didn’t realize is the shift that was taking place in my physical and subtle body.  As I shifted into a state of complete relaxation, the “healing” vibrational frequencies of the sounds were then allowed to penetrate my body, creating the space internally that I needed for my own personal clearing and growth.  The effects are subtle. An idea may come to me after a session. Hints from my higher self..things seemed to be “falling into place” but really I started to listen deeper to my intuition and my life began to transform...

Acquiring my first crystal sound bowl began a domino effect into acquiring more bowls and different instruments. After returning from India and receiving my 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training credential I began teaching yoga and incorporating the sound bowls into my classes.

 I found the most fulfillment when I would  teach specialized groups of people with physical and mental disabilities. The feedback I received of the vibrations and sound had on their physical and mental health was profound. 

As the pandemic started and we were unable to meet in person I felt a need to get my sound out more than ever. I  set up Instagram live sessions to give people a space to allow themselves to just be and to feel into their current experience. 

In the 5 years I have been working with sound as a healing modality I have found the most fulfillment in co-creating and collaborating with other healers and musicians to create sound experiences that would not be possible to do alone.  I have played in many different settings and locations from corporate offices to historic locations, baby showers, hospital rooms, rooftops, the beach, plant medicine ceremonies etc. 

The truth is everyone is a sound healer, our voice is our greatest tool. Even just humming is so soothing for the nervous system.  Shut your eyes,take a deep breath in, focus your attention on your third eye and gently hmmmmmmmm.  Relaxing, isn’t it?
